One of Six Tribute Bands
Considered talented enough to be placed on the world famous, “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” in front of an international audience, Almost KISS caught the eye of Family Jewels’ Producers and Executives in 2010 and were chose to be included as one of six tributes to be endorsed by Gene Simmons. Since then, this amazing group of four musicians has continued to excite crowds all over the country, growing substantially in popularity.
Complete Kiss Image on Stage
Part of what makes Almost KISS show so enthralling is the way in which they have so meticulously recreated the complete KISS image on stage. The boys feature authentic vintage instruments, makeup, and custom made costumes and boots. Their unmistakable New York accents and KISS antics truly bring out the outlandish, charismatic personas of the original four Gods of Thunder we all adore. In being true to the original characters, Almost KISS derives the majority of their song list from a specific part of the KISS katalog, primarily performing material that KISS played in live concert settings from 1974-1983. This long and wonderful list of songs spans material from the early tunes they played at small, dingy clubs in New York City to huge, international numbers such as “Lick It Up.”
Their touring takes them to festivals, college campuses, corporate events, benefits, nightclubs, and private functions from Missouri to Texas and Wisconsin to the Caribbean. No matter where the band travels, people always enjoy Almost KISS because people, young and not-so, still (and probably always will) love KISS.
2011 and 2012 took Almost KISS internationally to St. Thomas and St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands for a few big shows and rumors of travel abroad to Germany, Mexico, and Japan are constantly swirling.
Hottest Band in the World
Almost KISS are four KISS fans: Devote and true. They choose to pay homage to the hottest band in the world and bring the show closer to you than you’ve ever experienced before. Pucker up…this is the Hottest Tribute band in the world!

Collegiate Shag is a band of members with varied taste that have come to grow together as musicians technically and emotionally. With a chemistry that reaches beyond time and space, along with the genre-grasping drums of Taylor Thorne, the fat brass-bass-bricks of Kris Scott, the searing laser-like power of Brandon “Potter” Hall, the nuanced and rife-with-style sound of Meredith Hammer, the ripping soul of Brian Vaughn, the über control of Dillon Dains, the 0-60 notes of Jim Scheffer, endless energy of Robert Bostic, and pure electricity of Kevin Jerez... this group is one to be revered....and PARTIED WITH!!!!
“I hope it touches someone’s life and leaves a positive imprint,” he says.
Andy performs as a solo acoustic act or a full ensemble depending on the needs of the venue, but one thing remains the same: he performs with the same heart and message whether he’s playing for two or 1,000.
“If music isn’t fun and you don’t mean it, then why do it?” -Andy

Suthurn Justus is from small town mid-Missouri, which includes Ashland, Hallsville, Harrisburg and Boonville. Our love for music has brought us together to play old country, new country, classic rock, southern rock and just good ole rock and roll. When we began performing together we all had different bands and different ideas but since then we have come together to play as one Suthurn Justus. We will play anywhere for private parties, wedding receptions, festivals, benefits or at your local hot spots. We all have families and we believe in “family first.” We only play a couple times a month.
We just love playing music and having fun. If it isn’t fun then it is too much like work and we all have our day jobs. We have the support of our families and friends and what more could you ask for. This is our second year playing the fair and we have hopes to be back for years to come.
A roll of duct tape, a vacuum cleaner, and a microphone may sound like a Macgyver tool kit to most, but to Clay Cumbie, it was his first mic stand. “In all seriousness, I love music, always have, and can’t see myself doing anything else.” A self-taught guitarist, Cumbie grew up listening to everyone from Jim Croce to John Mayer. "I really admire their music and writing," Cumbie remembers. "They have had such a huge influence on the way I write songs." By the time he was a teenager, Cumbie was playing in various local clubs and honing his own songwriting craft. Eventually the Cumbie family moved to Columbia, MO. A vibrant college town filled with the love for the arts and music. As a High School student Cumbie balanced his love for music and baseball. "Eventually I was forced to make a decision between baseball and music," Cumbie says. "As much as I enjoyed playing baseball, I knew music was calling me to a different stage.” Leaving home at the age of 19, Cumbie made his way to Nashville to pursue his dream of superstardom. Barely four years later, Cumbie has made a home with Big Loud Shirt Industries, a top independent publishing company run by veteran songwriter/producer Craig Wiseman. In 2008 Cumbie became the flagship artist for Wiseman’s 1111 Music House. Shortly after his first release with the label, Cumbie was invited to join college circuit phenom Corey Smith on tour. “Being on the road with Corey and his crew was great, I’ve always enjoyed Corey’s music so it was a great opportunity for us and a lot of fun” With no plans of slowing down, Cumbie intends to hit the road hard in 2008. “I want to play anywhere and everywhere that I can, I love all of this and cant wait to see where the road takes me.” To find out more about Clay and his music please check out www.claycumbie.com and www.myspace.com/claycumbie. You will never look at a vacuum the same way.

Meeting each other through different bands Mark Loeber (guitar) and Josh Higgins (vocals/guitar) played together in a band called To End October. Then, To End October broke up in late 2007, but Mark and Josh wanted to continue to play music together. So many phone calls later they hooked up with Mike Ellis (bass) and Shaq Golden (drums) in early 2008. Together the band played shows to little coffee "shacks" and even a few local headlining shows. In the late fall of 2008, Mike Ellis left the band to pursue his Education. Without a bass player and many shows already booked, they found Tyler Frans who had been playing with the worship band that Mark and Shaq had been playing with for a few years at Cafe 41. With a new bass player Never Blue Avenue was ready to continue what they had started. Within a few months, they recorded their first EP, Misleading At Most, with engineer, Shawn Ames in his basement. Still trying to venture out of the local music scene, they went to Chapman Recording Studio with producer Ben Cybulsky in Kansas City, Missouri. Today our full length album, Relations is finished and up for purchase.
