The Children’s Barnyard and Petting Zoo
The Children’s Barnyard and Petting Zoo is a place where the young and the young at heart, can get closer to Missouri agriculture. The Barnyard includes a number of livestock displays as well as grain and other Missouri farm products. Children will have the opportunity to interact with grains, learn how to identify soybeans and wheat. This year a petting zoo has been incorporated into the Barnyard. Not only will children have a chance to see animals up close, but a chance to pet them too!! The Barnyard and Petting Zoo will be located across from the Small Animal Building. Open every day during the fair. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 4 pm-9pm and Saturday 12 pm-9 pm. **Daycare groups are invited to the Barnyard for organized tours on Wednesday, July 25 and Thursday, July 26 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Tours can be arranged by calling 474-9435. |
