Rules:
- Rules listed in the general rules section in addition to following rules will apply to the swine show.
- Exhibitors must be enrolled and a member in good standing in a 4-H swine project or FFA SAE program in Boone County.
- All project animals must be owned, in the possession of, and under the care of the exhibitor by May 8th of the current year.
- All hogs must be identified by universal ear notch numbering.
- All market hogs must submit a proof of ownership form by May 1 must be posted marked May 8.

- All hogs must meet the current health requirements of the Missouri Department of Agriculture, State Veterinary Health Regulations.
- Exhibitors may show a maximum of 3 market animals and a maximum of 2 breeding animals per breeding class.
- Pigs born after December 1st previous year are eligible to show. Market classes will be broken by weight. Pure bred breeding gilts will be broken by age; & crossbred breeding gilts by weight.
- Pure bred gilts must present registration papers at weigh-in.
- Hogs entered in the market class weighing less than 230 pounds will be entered in the ultra-lightweight class and not be eligible for the auction.
- Bedding will not be provided
- In-county kids can show off trailer or pen in the barn. Arrival & weigh times will still be enforced.
- All exhibitors are expected to help with pen set-up and or clean-up. 14. Pens will contain a minimum of 2 pigs/pen per exhibitor/family. Exhibitors must provide their own dividers for pens, if needed.
- All pigs in place between 12:00 am and 8:00 am day of show. All pigs MUST be in place by 8:00 am or not allowed to weigh. Contact superintendent prior to 8:00 am day of show with unforeseen circumstances.
- All pigs are to be weighed between the hours of 8 am and 10 am. Pigs are only allowed to go across the scale one time. THERE WILL BE NO RE-WEIGHS.
- MARKET CLASSES WILL BE BARROWS ONLY. GILTS WILL ONLY BE SHOWN AS BREEDING STOCK.
- The day of the show, there will be a MANDATORY exhibitor meeting. All exhibitors MUST be represented at this meeting. If you have a conflict, you MUST contact the swine superintendent BEFORE the meeting.
- Open show participants need to plan on showing from trailers
